Professional Experience

Jieyi Chen is a civil/commercial litigation solicitor at Frigo James Legal, proficient in both English and Mandarin. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours Class 1) and a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from Bond University. She was admitted as a lawyer to the Supreme Court of Queensland in February 2022.


Jieyi commenced her career at a Gold Coast law firm in May 2021, specialising in litigation and providing legal support to clients across various industries. Her expertise encompasses property disputes, business disputes, debt recovery, employment disputes, and neighbourhood disputes.


Jieyi collaborates closely with the firm’s partner Ronald Frigo, who specialises in civil and commercial litigation and criminal law. She demonstrates keen interests in deepening her understanding of these legal areas.


She volunteered in the social security team at Basic Right Queensland and interned at the Gold Coast and Metro North Hospital and Health Services. She is passionate about improving access to justice for communities.


Outside of work, she enjoys rock climbing, Pilates, and playing tennis.
