Nicole Maia

Professional Experience

Nicole is a litigation lawyer with professional experience in Australia and Brazil. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from Brazil, where she graduated in April 2017, and has worked as a solicitor and assistant prosecutor with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in Brazil until she moved to Australia in October 2018 with her partner.

In March 2019, she started working as a litigation paralegal under the close supervision and guidance of the firm’s director Ron Frigo and has assisted clients in a wide variety of civil and commercial litigation matters ranging from minor debt recovery proceedings to complex building and construction disputes, as well as property disputes and business disputes. This has given her the opportunity to develop an exceptional and valuable skillset in conducting litigation matters in both inferior and superior courts and tribunals. 

Whilst validating her overseas bachelor’s degree, Nicole has undertaken further studies at Southern Cross University, where she received a Vice-Chancellor’s Award of High-Level Academic Excellence, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice with the College of Law. She was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in April 2022. 

She has also volunteered with organisations such as My Community Legal (Robina) assisting practitioners in several areas of law including property law, minor civil disputes, criminal law, family and domestic violence, wills and estates, personal injuries and migration law. 

Nicole is a highly proactive and motivated professional who is passionate about her work and is always willing to go the extra mile to help her clients resolve their legal disputes in a commercial, timely and cost-effective manner. She is a valuable and skilled member of our team.

Nicole continues to work closely with her mentor Ron Frigo. 

When she’s not on the job, Nicole loves photography, surfing and hiking.
